Teaching experience:
In the 80’s I taught at Queens Compute, a computer school at Queens
College in Charlotte. I also sold computers and taught people how to use
the new laptop computers (Osbornes and Kaypros) which came loaded with
dBASEII, Wordstar and Supercalc (remember those?). I have also taught music
classes at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, and have been
teaching quilt workshops at numerous locations, including John C. Campbell
Folk School. I was a featured teacher for a master class in Birmingham,
England, at the Festival of Quilts in August, 2005, and taught at the Quilt
Surface Design Symposium in 2006 in Ohio. Locally, I teach a computer class
on how to design quilts using a computer at Mayland Community College in
Burnsville, as well as children's quilting classes.

Education: University of Tennessee, with Honors, Bachelor of Music, Major in Theory and Composition
Represented in Asheville by the New Morning Gallery and Grovewood Gallery.
