YELLOW LILY STAR

38” x 38”

Completed July 2006 for a Guild Challenge.

The large blocks are made up of 4 smaller identical blocks created in CorelDraw where a half square triangle is replicated and rotated to create a larger block.  The mini blocks in the sashing are stars using the lilies and commercial fabric.  The sashing and borders are commercial fabrics.
Machine pieced and quilted.  Hobbs Heirloom Cotton batting

ZEBRA PLANT

22” x 22”

Completed August 2006.

Star blocks created in CorelDraw using photos of a zebra plant, flower and leaves in different parts of the block.  4 blocks sewed together give a secondary pattern; bordered with commercial fabrics.
Machine pieced and quilted.  Flannel batting.

Both of these were also exhibited at the Hoard Museum in a show of the Whitewater Arts Alliance of which I am a member.  I’m their only art quilter.
